Michael has spent his entire career gaining expertise in banking, commercial lending and sales. He founded CU Business Group’s east coast operations in 2003, and has gained significant experience in credit union business services since then. Michael has underwritten all types of business loans, including commercial real estate, lines of credit, term loans, taxi medallions, letters of credit, and asset-based lines. He also has extensive experience with SBA lending, has 12 years experience as a branch manager, and served as Director of Consumer and Home Equity Lending. He is a former instructor for the American Institute of Banking and has taught extensively throughout his banking and credit union career. Michael consults with credit unions in the eastern U.S. on all aspects of business services planning, program development, account pricing, and education. |

Dan has brought a wealth of experience to credit unions in his 5 years at CU Business Group. Prior to joining CUBG he spent 1½ years at Redwood Credit Union, a $1.3 billion institution in Northern California, where he managed the business lending, deposits and sales to Redwood’s 100,000+ members. Before that, Dan spent 30+ years’ at large national banks and smaller community banks. As a senior banking officer, credit administrator, and special assets manager, Dan gained extensive experience in all types of term loans, lines of credit, equipment loans, and commercial real estate, letters of credit and SBA loans. Dan has taught a variety of courses in both banks and credit unions and specializes in consulting with credit unions throughout the U.S. on all aspects of business services.

Most recently he served as a Commercial Loan Officer and Vice President of a Texas based community bank where he was responsible for business development and portfolio management with an emphasis on real estate and healthcare banking. Previously he was Director of the Small Business Development Center at Lone Star Community College System in Houston. Mike has significant experience in all facets of business banking including commercial real estate, agriculture, equipment and Small Business Administration lending, credit analysis, loan review and compliance. In addition he is an adjunct instructor at Lone Star Community College. Mike consults with credit unions in the southern and southwestern regions of the United States on all aspects of member business services.

Most recently Scott worked as a portfolio manager and business development officer, managing a $130 million portfolio in multiple states across the country. In this role he negotiated loan terms, managed account relationships and developed workout strategies. Scott also spent over six years in asset-based lending and has experience in lines of credit, taxi medallions, equipment loans, faith-based loans, commercial real estate loans, construction loans, and flooring lines in a variety of industries. His primary responsibilities at CU Business Group include loan underwriting, credit analysis and documentation as well as leading the merchant bank card program. |

Marialice brings 26 years of banking experience in operations, loan documentation and client service management to CU Business Group. Prior to joining CUBG, Marialice was part of the team that started The Commerce Bank of Oregon, where she helped develop and manage the client service team and human resources department. In addition, Marialice focused on sales, marketing the bank to the non-profit community and developing depository relationships with non-profit organizations. Previously, Marialice spent 10 years in commercial banking at Key Bank, where she focused on operations and loan documentation for commercial clients. Her experiences have created a solid foundation for her new role in managing the documentation process and operations staff at CUBG. |
